Eric holds a Master in Public Administration degree with a focus on International Development and Administration from the Maxwell School at Syracuse University. While there, he focused his research on project management and the monitoring and evaluation of international programs. Eric also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics and political science from the University of Nevada, Reno. As an undergraduate, Eric spent several months living in Accra, Ghana while collecting primary research for his thesis which examined the effectiveness of HIV/AIDS intervention programs in the country.
What inspires you about your work currently?
Meeting the people our research is trying to help makes the work I do behind a computer screen concrete and meaningful. It reminds me that I am looking for insights that do not just build a product or answer a question. They help make someone’s daily life a little bit better.
How do you think outside the box in your current role?
Working with data is like solving a puzzle except you have to cut the pieces before you can even begin. It requires thinking ahead and using insight into the realities behind the data in order to create an analytical process that results in the most accurate picture possible.
